Staying Focused to Achieve Your Goals
Staying Focused to Achieve Your Goals
Big goals require big plans. Do you ever have a dream or a goal, and when you start to pursue it things get questionable? I’m here to tell you to keep going. Don’t give up. No matter what you do, keep going down that path. Don’t get off track. Achieve those goals.
“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now” – Chinese Proverb.
You don’t want to keep putting off your plans and in 20 years from now, still not have that tree. Figure out your plan, and stick to it. There’s a reason you were so determined to pick that road, that goal, that dream.
There’s a Why Behind That Road
What’s that why? Use it to drive that determination you started with, and keep pushing forward.
Knowing your Why is SO crucial in achieving your goals. When you know your why, you are more likely to take action and to stick with your plan. Knowing your why is going to help you develop your plan and help you stay focused on your goals, which will make it so you actually achieve your goals.
Plan Out Your Days
At night, sit down and map out your next day. When you wake up, you won’t have to think “I need to do this, and this, and this” and have chaos in your head first thing in the morning so that you’re burnt out before even starting. You will have your to-do list, your appointments, and any other information you need for the day already laid out for you when you wake up. You can wake up, enjoy that cup of coffee, look at your planner and start taking action right away. (I share my favorite planner here if you are still trying to find one that works for you.)
Don’t Waste Your Most Valuable Time
I think everyone has an hour or two in their day where they aren’t at their peak. For most, it’s going to be around the early afternoon. Maybe right before lunch, maybe right after lunch. Monitor your energy levels for a couple days and find when you’re just not at your best. You’re going to use that time for the “time wasting” tasks. This includes checking your social media, going through those e-mails, and responding to messages. It’s ok to not be available to the world 24/7. You have goals, and your time is precious. You’re allowed time in your day to work on your goals without distractions and time-wasting tasks.
While monitoring your energy levels, take note on which time of day you’re at your best. For me, it’s never mornings. I am always at my best in the evening. That’s when I do my best thinking and can achieve so much more than in my mornings. Most people are probably the complete opposite of me, but I know what works for me and go with it. You need to find what works for you and plan your day whichever way allows you to be most productive.
Make A Vision Board
Lastly, the last tip to staying focused and achieving your goals is going to be making a vision board. This has been said time and time again by so many people. Don’t just include the things you want on your vision board. Include things on how you want to feel. Take a few minutes every day to look at your vision board, close your eyes, and just imagine your goal achieved. How do you feel? Probably amazing! If not, we might want to start brainstorming a new goal.
Remember friends, Stay focused. The road may get bumpy, but don’t look back. You’re not going that way.
What are your big goals?
Do you have a Vision Board already made?
What i do not realize is if truth be told how you are no longer actually much more neatly-liked than you might be right now. You’re so intelligent. You already know therefore considerably when it comes to this subject, produced me individually believe it from so many varied angles. Its like men and women aren’t interested except it¦s one thing to accomplish with Girl gaga! Your personal stuffs great. All the time handle it up!
